Archie Mountbatten-Windsor's surprise appearance today not only resulted in cute pictures of the royal, but it also gave us a rare look at Duchess Meghan and Prince Harry as parents. The couple beamed as they brought their little one to meet Archbishop Desmond Tutu and his daughter, Thandeka Tutu-Gxashe, in Cape Town. Meghan grinned as she carried the four-month-old, and Harry looked lovingly at their baby boy. A video shared on the official Sussex Royal Instagram even shows the family-of-three smiling together as they arrived to the big meeting.

Before their official gathering with the archbishop, Harry told his son, "You're going to meet Arch, Arch," giving him a playful nickname while also referencing Tutu's title. The play on words was a common theme for the get-together, as the phrase "Arch meets Archie" appeared in the Sussexes' Instagram captions regarding the event.

Appearing in front of cameras was no problem for Archie. "I think he's used to it already," Harry told Tutu-Gxashe after they were photographed. "He's an old soul," Meghan added.

Although Archie didn't make an appearance on the tour until today, he was still a big topic of discussion during Meghan and Harry's earlier engagements in South Africa. While having tea with local residents in Bo-Kaap yesterday, the duchess told her hosts, "Our plate is full with a five-month-old at the moment. It's so busy!"

Shamiela Samodien, who welcomed the royal couple into her home, told BAZAAR.com that they "spoke about Archie and how he has been very comfortable since arriving and they said he's a very good boy. You could see how happy they were."
